A teenage girl is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow charged with the attempted murder of another girl.

The 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of a stabbing that occurred in Coelbren on the edge of the Brecon Beacons shortly after 7 pm on Thursday.

The suspect has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

She is set to appear at Merthyr Magistrates Court on Monday.
