Loose Women star Denise Welch found herself at the heart of a death hoax on Sunday.

Tweets began circulating on X, formerly Twitter, towards the end of the weekend, asserting that the Loose Women star had passed away.

In response, Denise, 65, took to X herself to confirm that she is indeed alive and well.

The star, who is the mother of The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, stated, ‘I’m alive and well and about to watch the jungle. Thanks for your concern.’ Denise also appended three embarrassed-face emojis.
