Young girl missing for 4 years walks into police station 1,000 miles away

The mother of a girl who disappeared days before her 15th birthday has expressed her belief in miracles after her daughter was located safe over 1,000 miles away, four years later.

Alicia Navarro, now 18, went missing from her home in Glendale, Arizona, overnight on September 15, 2019. Her parents woke up to find a note stating: ‘I ran away. I will be back. I swear. I’m sorry.’

Despite a massive search, involving the FBI and receiving thousands of tips, there was no sign of the teenager.

However, this week, she appeared alone at a police station in a small town in Montana, approximately 40 miles from the Canadian border, and requested to be removed from the missing children list.

At a news conference, police spokesman Jose Santiago said, ‘By all accounts, she is safe, healthy, and happy.’

Lt. Scott Waite mentioned that Navarro had an emotionally overwhelming reunion with her mother and was deeply apologetic for what she had put her mother through. Confirming that her daughter had been found, Jessica Nunez, her mum, stated that she had no further details.
