Fans of Emmerdale and Coronation Street will need to exercise patience as their favorite soaps have been temporarily removed from the airwaves.
This schedule change is in response to the Rugby World Cup match between France and New Zealand.
To accommodate this shift, an hour-long episode of Coronation Street was aired on September 7, and an hour-long Emmerdale episode was shown on September 5. Regular scheduling is expected to resume next week.
These changes occur during a period of dramatic storylines for both soaps, as they prepare for Super Soap Week in October.
Emmerdale director Matt Hilton expressed his satisfaction with the filming for this significant week, stating that they “couldn’t have had a better shoot.”
