Two-year-old girl dies after being found in a pond

A two-year-old girl who had gone missing and was subsequently discovered in Kingsley Pond, located in Kingsley near Bordon, Hampshire, has sadly passed away in the hospital.

The child had been reported missing from her home just after 5 pm on Sunday, prompting a search effort. Hampshire Police has now confirmed the tragic news of her demise.

Additionally, Hampshire Police has stated that a woman in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with this incident.

The incident unfolded when officers were alerted just after 5 pm on Sunday regarding the missing child. Shortly thereafter, she was found in the pond and was swiftly transported to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, the young girl tragically succumbed to her injuries this afternoon. Hampshire Police has reported that her family is receiving support during this difficult time.
