Two 11-year-old girls are in hospital after they were struck by a motorbike while riding an e-scooter. The two schoolchildren were left ‘seriously injured’ in the collision on Friday afternoon.
One of the girls sustained a broken femur, a fractured collarbone, and has undergone surgery. The extent of the other girl’s injuries remains unknown.
Two men, aged 18 and 24, were apprehended on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving.
They were knocked off their pink electric scooter at approximately 3:50 pm on Friday, at the junction of Waun Wen Road and Tegid Road in Mayhill, Swansea.
The motorbike believed to be involved in the incident is thought to be a Husqvarna, and the police are still searching for it.
