BREAKING: SNOW within days in LONDON

To say there has been a lot going on for Londoners recently would be a huge understatement.

From forming festive bubbles, to quickly breaking them apart, and now talks of a national lockdown from Boxing Day.

Sometimes it’s easier just to forget about the Christmas chaos, and focus on more normal questions we may have at this time of year.

So, could we expect snow in the capital anytime soon?

According to Accuweather, there is a chance we could. But those dreaming of a White Christmas may want to carry on, well, dreaming for now…

There is currently no snow forecast for December 25, and with only days to go, there’s probably not much chance of that changing.

On the up side, it actually looks like it will be a rather lovely day. Christmas Day will be “chilly with periods of clouds and sun” according to the site, with a maximum temperature of 4 Degrees Celsius and a minimum of 3 (so do wrap up if going for a stroll!)

But when exactly can we expect snow?

Those heading out for a walk on New Year’s Day may be pleased to hear it is forecast to be slightly warmer (maximum 7C).

And 2021 looks set to please everybody after such a tough year, because according to the forecast, we could see “a flurry in the morning” of January 1, which normally means a light, brief shower of snow.

If this isn’t enough to satisfy the snow-lovers among us, fear not, because there is more snow forecast in London on January 6 – exactly 12 days after Christmas.

“A bit of snow” could fall in the morning, as well as cloud with rain or a snow shower in spots by evening.

So, while it may be time to take our trees down, at least we’ll get a little magic to mark the end of Christmas!
