Deryck Whibley, renowned as a member of the band Sum 41, has been urgently hospitalized. This concerning news was confirmed by his wife, Ariana Cooper Whibley, who disclosed that the 42-year-old musician is grappling with pneumonia and facing the potential risk of heart failure.
Ariana, aged 32 and a model by profession, took to social media to share updates on her husband’s condition. She shared two photos, one of which depicted Deryck being transported into an ambulance. In a heartfelt message, Ariana elaborated on the challenges they are currently confronting and how it evokes painful memories.
She conveyed the following in her statement: ‘Deryck and I were supposed to be in Chicago right now, celebrating our eight-year wedding anniversary but the universe had a different plan for us.
We spent the entire night in the ER and will now be spending the next few days here in the hospital as he fights through pneumonia. The scariest part is that there is a lot of strain on his heart and they are telling us that there is a possibility of heart failure.’
