Parents of three-month old baby girl charged with her murder

Christopher Easey and Carly Easey have been arrested after their daughter Eleanor Easey died at Addenbrooks hospital in Cambridge in the week before Christmas last year

The parents of a three-month old baby girl who died in the week before Christmas have been charged with her murder.

Eleanor Easey died a week before Christmas last year.

She was rushed to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital from the family’s home in Morton on the Hill, eight miles north of the city and later transferred to Addenbrooks hospital in Cambridge. 

She died there two days later.

Christopher Easey, 30, and Carly Easey, 35, have today been charged with her murder.

A post-mortem examination revealed that she died from a severe head injury, sparking a major police investigation.

Both Christopher and Carly Easey, of Terrington St Clements, Norfolk, were remanded in custody and appeared before Norwich Magistrates Court via virtual link today. 

They were further remanded in custody and will appear at Norwich Crown Court tomorrow.
