A newborn baby was urgently taken to the hospital with severe injuries following a collision involving two cars.
The incident occurred at approximately 5 pm on Friday, July 21, when a dark grey Ford Fiesta and a dark grey Ferrari collided at the junction of the A558 Daresbury Expressway and Manor Park Avenue in Runcorn. The Ferrari was traveling from the Mersey Gateway, while the Fiesta was entering the carriageway from Manor Park Avenue.
Both the 34-year-old male driver of the Ferrari and the three-week-old baby in the vehicle were transported to the hospital after the accident. Cheshire Police have stated that the victims are currently in a “serious condition” at the hospital.
Authorities are now appealing to any witnesses who may have observed the crash or events leading up to it to come forward and provide information.
