Twenty individuals are currently receiving medical attention from paramedics following a fire incident at a tenement building in Edinburgh. Emergency response teams swiftly arrived at the three-story block located on Gorgie Road shortly before 9 am this morning.
According to a spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, “We received a report of a residential fire in Edinburgh at 8.52 am on Tuesday, 4th July. Our Operations Control immediately dispatched four fire engines to Gorgie Road in the city, where firefighters encountered a fire within a three-story tenement building.”
“Firefighters successfully guided three injured individuals to safety before handing them over to the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service personnel. Presently, a total of 20 casualties are under the supervision of paramedics.”
“The fire has been successfully extinguished, and the fire crews concluded their operations at the scene at 10:55 am.”
