Katie Price has reportedly been snubbed by I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! bosses who said she is “not suitable for a family show” with the drama surrounding her life.
ITV bosses have reportedly rejected Kate, 43, for the next season of I’m a Celebrity saying that she is not a ‘suitable’ contestant due to the nature of the programme.
The ITV show has a ‘lot of younger viewers’ and Katie’s breach of the law would deem her not fit for their audience.
Katie faces an ongoing court trial after denying breaching a restraining order against her ex-husband’s fiancée over a message in which she is said to have accused the pair of having an affair.
The 43-year-old model has also been given a 16-week suspended sentence for drink-driving in December last year.
An insider told The Sun: “There is no doubt that Katie makes great TV and was one of the standouts on I’m A Celeb over the years, but she is too much of a liability for the show to cast her in the All-Stars version.
“Given her pending court case, as well as her existing convictions, the series can’t be seen to endorse her by inviting her back into the jungle.
“Ultimately this show has a very broad audience and a lot of younger viewers, and right now, she isn’t a suitable contestant for a family show.
“Of course, this may change in the future when there has been some distance from all the legal dramas, but as it stands currently, ITV don’t think it would be appropriate – even though they know she would deliver ratings gold.”
