Kate Garraway sparks concern as she’s MISSING from GMB amid Derek’s Covid battle

Kate Garraway was absent from Thursday’s episode of Good Morning Britain.

The 53-year-old presenter usually hosts the show with Ben Shephard, but Charlotte Hawkins was on hosting duties today.

Fans were concerned as they saw Kate was missing, and they asked if she was okay amid her husband Derek Draper’s coronavirus battle.

One viewer tweeted Ben Shephard and the Good Morning Britain Twitter: “Where is the lovely Kate? I hope all is well and she’s okay, really miss seeing her on GMB today.”

Another penned: “Where’s Kate? Hope she’s alright. How’s Derek?”

“Where is Kate?”, asked a third fan.

Kate’s husband Derek has been in hospital recovering from a serious strain of Covid-19.

He caught the virus in March, and was left a critical condition in hospital.

While there have been some small improvements to Derek’s health, Kate has said he has a long road ahead.

The presenter recently recalled the “missed moments” she has had in 2020 as Derek remains in hospital.

While talking about how she is going to host GMB’s 1 Million Minutes Awards, which celebrates ending loneliness, Kate opened up about Derek’s coronavirus battle.

She said: “There have been so many missed moments haven’t there? The first one was not having our chocolate Easter egg hunt that my mum organises every year.

“All the kids go round and the grown-ups set clues. It’s been a huge tradition and that was the first event we missed that really hit home.

“Then there was my birthday and then Billy’s birthday and Derek’s birthday… all those moments.
