On Tuesday, organisers of the Isle of Man TT races announced the death of Spanish motorcycle rider Raul Torras Martinez in a crash.
The 46-year-old lost his life during the first Supertwin race on the third lap between the 16th and 17th mile markers.
The TT is a two-week racing event that occurs on the island located off the coast of northern England, attracting motorcycle road racers worldwide.
Torras Martinez had competed at the TT before, debuting in 2017 and participating in a total of 21 races.
His best performance at the event was a 15th place finish in the 2022 Supertwin race, where he earned 18 Bronze Replicas over the course of his career.
