Horror for public as woman found dead in park with large police cordon in place

A police cordon is in place at Southall Park in Ealing after a women’s body was found in the early hours of the morning.

Police were called to the park on Green Drive at 5.56am on Saturday (July 17) to reports of an unresponsive woman.

The London Ambulance Service also attended the scene, where the woman, believed to be in her 30s, was pronounced dead.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told My London: “Steps are being taken to inform her next of kin.

“A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”

Pictures posted on social media show part of Southall Park cordoned off, with at least two officers guarding the cordon.

It is believed the park is closed to members of the public.
