Horror as teenager dies after village stabbing

A 17-year-old lad has passed away following a stabbing incident over the weekend.

During the early hours of Sunday, he sustained injuries at a residence on Marches Road, Warnham, near Horsham, West Sussex. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, as confirmed by Sussex Police.

A 16-year-old boy is currently in custody after being apprehended on suspicion of murder. Additionally, a 16-year-old girl and a 52-year-old woman have been arrested under suspicion of assisting an offender.

Det Ch Insp Kimball Edey, from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, expressed condolences, stating, “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. We are aware that several young individuals were present at the event and would like to speak with them.”

“Further arrests have been made in connection with this case, and we kindly request the public to refrain from speculating about the incident on social media as it may jeopardise the ongoing investigation.”
