A man is in a critical condition after reportedly being ‘stabbed in the hands and neck’ at an Edinburgh shopping centre.
The horrifying attack is believed to be connected to another violent crime in the city in recent months.
Cops, including armed and canine units, swarmed the Fort Kinnaird complex last night around 5pm in what they described as a ‘disturbance’.
A 31-year-old man was rushed to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries and remains in a ‘critical but stable’ condition, according to police.
A source told the Daily Record he had suffered stab wounds to the hands and neck and that the incident is believed to be linked to another violent crime in the city last month.
A Police Scotland spokesman said ‘specialist resources’ had been used and a probe is underway into what happened.
