Four arrested after 2 women found dead in houses less than a mile apart

Two women have been discovered deceased in residences less than a mile apart, as confirmed by the police. Cleveland Police initially responded to a call at an address in South Bank, near Middlesbrough, on Monday evening, where they found the lifeless body of one woman.

Subsequently, officers were summoned to a different residence on Tuesday morning, where they came upon the lifeless body of another woman. Two men, both aged 47, and two women, aged 39 and 43, have been taken into custody in connection with these ‘unexplained deaths.’

Cleveland Police issued a statement stating, ‘Police were called to a property in Ajax Way in South Bank on the evening of Monday, September 18, following concerns about an occupant of the residence.’ “Regrettably, the body of a woman was discovered inside the premises.”

The statement continued, “Around 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 19, officers were alerted to a report of a sudden death at a property on South Court in South Bank, where a second woman had passed away.” “Enquiries into both fatalities are ongoing, and, at this juncture, the police are treating the deaths as unexplained.”
