Dentist was stabbed to death by son-in-law after argument

The dentist who was fatally stabbed on his own doorstep by his son’s father-in-law over a dispute about wedding presents has been pictured.

Mohammed Salem Ibrahim, 55, was stabbed four times by Ahmad Al Sino, 43, after they had a falling out following a family wedding, in a quarrel concerning gold jewellery presented to their children as gifts.

Police released footage yesterday, illustrating how they traced Alsino across Birmingham and detained him at gunpoint just 40 minutes following the homicide.

Shortly before 1pm on March 13 this year, Alsino stabbed Mr. Ibrahim multiple times at his residence in Castle Vale, Birmingham.

He also went on to injure his daughter’s spouse, Aram Ibrahim, who sustained severe injuries but survived the assault.

Emergency services hurried to the scene on Cadbury Drive, but despite the medics’ efforts, Mr. Ibrahim, a father of five, could not be saved.

Al Sino fled the scene after the knife attack, but the police were on his trail as he exited his vehicle following a 999 call from Mr. Ibrahim’s family.

Dramatic footage shows the police monitoring the vehicle’s movements across the city before he was apprehended by armed officers outside his residence in Northfield.
