A 10-year-old girl is among three victims of a suspected acid attack in North London last night after a stranger allegedly knocked on their front door.
Emergency crews rushed to the flats in Beaufort Park in Colindale following reports of a ‘corrosive substance’ being thrown on the child at around 7.20pm.
Officers found the child, a 36-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man injured after a corrosive substance was reportedly thrown at them.
The victims were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and have since been discharged, the Met Police confirmed.
No arrests have been made yet, with officers still investigating, the force said. They added some officers were treated at the scene after entering the address.
Horrified neighbours told the Sun the three people were attacked when a ‘stranger’ knocked on their door and chucked the substance.
Someone else told the newspaper: ‘Apparently a stranger knocked on their door, they opened and were attacked.’
Following the attack, locals in the area were advised to stay indoors as police attended to the injured, according to reports on social media.
