Captain Tom’s daughter ordered to demolish spa and pool built using his name

Planning officials have issued an order for the demolition of an unauthorized structure in the residence of Captain Tom’s daughter.

Proposals for a complex that included a spa pool at the property, boasting seven bedrooms, have been rejected.

Hannah Ingram-Moore, aged 52, and her husband Colin, submitted an application in 2021 seeking approval to construct a building for the Captain Tom Foundation within the premises of their home in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire.

In spite of social media criticism, Mr. and Mrs. Ingram-Moore chose not to engage with reporters at their expansive home during the preceding week, prior to the council’s decision.

The L-shaped structure received the go-ahead, with a design and access statement emphasizing its partial utilization “in connection with The Captain Tom Foundation and its charitable objectives.”

However, a subsequent retrospective application in 2022 for an expanded C-shaped building, encompassing a spa pool, was declined by the planning authority. Consequently, it will need to be demolished.
