Cherished Australian broadcaster Nan Witcombe has passed away at the age of 95.
Well recognised by a generation of Adelaide radio listeners, Witcombe gained fame in the 1970s with a talkback show on 5DN (now Cruise 1323).
She was also the author of a popular series of poetry books titled The Thoughts of Nanuska.
Witcombe passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday at her Brighton nursing home, and the Adelaide Advertiser reports that she had no children and never married.
