A girl has died following a collision between two cars in Surrey. The incident occurred at around 5.25 pm on Friday near the village of Dunsfold, involving a black Vauxhall Astra and a white Tesla.
The girl was a passenger in one of the cars and was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, where she tragically passed away. Surrey Police has not disclosed the child’s age, but the force states that her family is receiving support from specialist officers.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, leaving the scene of a road traffic collision, and driving without a valid driving licence.
He has subsequently been further arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving while uninsured, and causing death by driving while unlicensed. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage that could assist is urged to contact Surrey Police.
