Young man fighting for life after being stabbed by moped muggers

A YOUNG man is tonight fighting for life after being stabbed by moped muggers in South East London in broad daylight.

The victim in his late 20s was knifed by two men in Eltham at 5pm today.

He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition, Metropolitan Police said.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

It comes as an epidemic knife crime surges across Britain.

Last night a man was shot and stabbed to death in Manor Park, East London while three teens were stabbed in Chingford.

News of the latest knife crimes comes after The Sun Online revealed nowhere is safe from brutal knife killings in London.

The grisly death toll continues to rise with 21 people stabbed to death already in 2019 and police losing control of the streets.

North London is the most dangerous area of the capital, with seven murders taking place in 2019.

But boroughs all over the city have seen horrific daylight slayings.

One man was left paralysed after his spinal cord was slashed during an alleged stabbing spree in Edmonton last month.

Last year was London’s bloodiest in almost a decade as the number of homicides reached 135.
