Woman ‘killed identical twin she was in love triangle with over same man’

A woman who is accused of stabbing her twin sister to death was locked in a fierce love triangle with her relative, a law enforcement official has claimed.

In the early hours of Saturday morning the Ramirez sisters started arguing in an apartment in Camden, New Jersey.

The vocal conflict began to heat up before it spilled outside, a court heard.

Amanda Ramirez reportedly grabbed and knife and plunged it into the left side of her sister Anna.

A witness claimed she heard Anna say “Amanda, you stabbed me” as she lay bleeding on the ground, Camden County Superior Court Judge Edward McBride said today, citing the witness’ statement to police.

The unidentified witness had heard Amanda threaten Anna saying “watch what I’ll do” before the attack, it is alleged.

Anna died of the stab wound in hospital less than an hour after the incident.

On the day after a tearful Amanda appeared in court to face charges of aggravated manslaughter, a law enforcement official suggested a motive for the killing.

They told the New York Times that a “love triangle” was the catalyst for the attack, prompting a “fight that turned ugly”.

The man who was the third part of the triangle was not involved in the fight and was cooperating with police, they said.

On Wednesday an aunt of the twins, Blanca Class, said the fight had been about a boyfriend of Anna’s, although she did not mention Amanda being involved.

“They went to a party, they came home, they were drinking, they were arguing about a boyfriend,” Ms Class said.

“She just went on a crazy trip, stabbed her and killed her.

“It’s heartbreaking. I couldn’t believe it, it was like something you would see in the movies. You couldn’t believe she would do that to her own sister.”

Anna had three daughters and Amanda has one.

According to charging documents Amanda claimed not to know how her sister had been hurt, before acknowledging they had been drinking together at their cousin’s house.

She denied having a fight with Anna at first, before admitting to exchanging multiple blows when lacerations on her face and hands were noted.

Amanda blamed Anna for starting the fight and claimed her twin had grabbed the knife only to be stabbed in a struggle for the weapon.

She is being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility.

Less than two hours before the tragic death, Anna had shared a photo on her Facebook page with Amanda, their cousin and a man.

In the caption of what became her final post, she reportedly wrote: “You know the vibe.
