Six month old baby boy suffers brain bleed ‘after being slapped so hard at nursery

A BABY boy suffered a brain-bleed after being ‘slapped so hard at nursery it left a hand-shaped bruise on his face’, reports claim.

Six-month-old Glen Braun was allegedly hit so hard that Mum Sarah Braun said he was vomiting when she picked her up from the nursery in Kansas, US, last Thursday.

The boy’s dad Brett told WDAF he too was deeply concerned about his son.

He said: “As soon as I started holding him, he vomited all over me. He had a red mark on his face.”

Sarah said the day home care worker told her that Glen may have been injured by another child.

But the couple claim doctors said there were “signs of abuse”.

Police and child services were then called in to investigate after Glen’s injuries were revealed by medics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Brett said: “The head C.T. scan showed that he had a brain bleed. From there they told us there were signs of abuse.”

He added: “I mean he is six months old. I don’t know how anyone could ever hit him or do anything to him.

“I don’t really know what to say. We did all the proper steps. We went on the state website. We did everything we should. I don’t know the right answer.”

No one has yet been charged in connection with the alleged attack,

However, Shawnee Police are investigating the case as an assault.

The nursery has had its license suspended and police are expected to present their case to prosecutors by the end of the week.
