THIS is the shocking moment water flooded Tesco aisles after the ceiling collapsed amid a battery of thunderstorms.
The chaotic scenes were filmed as Britain reels from the tail-end of a 60-hour weather bomb.
Video footage shows flood water pouring through the roof as stock crashed to the floor and water gushed down the aisles of the supermarket in Stirling, Scotland.
One shopper described the moment a “loud, lightning-like crack” roared through the store before the ceiling gave way on Monday.
The shop was evacuated before being closed later in the evening.
It came as cops issued a warning to locals and urged them to stay safe.
Thunderstorms have been pushing across the UK overnight after Scotland bore the brunt of the bad weather on Monday.
Weather warnings have now shifted further south, as millions in the South, East and Central parts of England continue to be blasted by monsoon showers this morning.
Frequent lightning as well as hail and high winds could wreak mass travel disruption, with spray and flooding set to lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
But hot air moving in from continental Europe will bring with it drier, sunnier and warmer conditions – and by Saturday parts of London could get as hot as 35C.
