The outspoken singer, who appeared alongside Simon Cowell as an X Factor judge last year, has confirmed despite not joining the band on the road for their 2019 tour he hopes he will take to the stage with them once more.
Robbie, 45, said: “Will I ever be on stage with the boys again?
Yes, I am sure I will sing with them again. We have no plans a the moment though.
“I think they are taking a some time off after the tour ends.”
Take That are currently in the middle of a 52 date European tour.
The trek included an impressive eight nights at London’s O2 Arena.
Praising Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald for their live shows, Robbie added: “I bet the boys were amazing [on their recent tour].”
The comments were made in a now deleted Instagram live session from Robbie’s official account.
Daily Star Online released last month how Robbie is currently working on a Christmas album.
Despite bagging the Christmas No1 multiple times over the years and covering Christmas songs during live gigs, Robbie has never released a definitive Christmas record.
A source spilled: “Robbie has been working hard on the album and has already written more than 30 songs.
