Pet owners warned after razors, glass and pills found in ‘treats’

Dog owners have been told to be careful after black puddings stuffed with razor blades, glass and pills were found in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police have been called in after photos emerged on social media of the treats concealing dangerous items in Burslem.

At least two black puddings have been discovered in the Camoys Road area of the Mother Town. 

It is not yet known if any dogs have been harmed.

The Facebook post reads: “Dog owners please be aware, someone is putting pieces of black pudding down with various objects in (stanley blade, tablet and glass). “I found two pieces in Camoys Road. Picked up and police informed and will be collecting them shortly.”

One resident said: “How disgusting. What goes through people’s minds?”

And another added: “This is ridiculous, people are scum.”
