Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have always maintained they’ve kept the sex of their baby as a surprise.
Obviously, that has in no way stopped speculation mounting that the Sussexes DO know whether they’re having a boy or a girl – and which of the two the baby is likely to be.
Enter Serena Williams, who has inadvertently doused the rumour fire with petrol.
The tennis is ace is famously close with Meghan, she attended the now-infamous New York baby shower and was at the wedding.
During a recent interview , she was asked what her advice to new mums would be.
She replied: “Accept mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect. We put so much pressure on ourselves.”
Most parents would agree this is great, useful advice, but it’s what she said next that really piqued people’s interest.
Serena went on to give an anecdote about a “pregnant friend”, saying:
“My friend is pregnant, and she was like, ‘My kid’s gonna do this,’ [and] I just looked at her like, ‘No, she’s not. No, you’re not.
She was like, ‘I need to talk to you about tips,’ because, yes, I had all of those high expectations.”
Of course, Serena could very well be talking about a different pregnant friend.
Then there are the rumours that Meghan in fact told her baby shower guests that she was having a boy.
So we’re very much still none-the-wiser.
