Paedo priest, sexually abused girl, 7, until she vomited and made her clean up mess’

A FORMER Catholic priest sexually abused a seven-year-old girl until she vomited and then made her clean up the mess, prosecutors have claimed.

Sabine Griego, 81, has been also been charged with raping the little altar server when she was just eight-years-old almost 30 years ago.

The suspected perv is accused of targeting the child between 1990 and 1991 while he was working at the Queen of Heaven Roman Catholic Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He allegedly lured the girl to the church rectory by saying he wanted to “play a special game” before assaulting her for the first time when she was aged seven.

According to the arrest warrant, the assault cased the child to vomit and Griego forced her to clean up the mess, Santa Fe New Mexican reports.

She told cops that this started happening regularly, with Griego removing her from class and taking her to the rectory, sometimes giving her wine to drink.

The priest allegedly started raping her when she was aged eight.

Griego is accused of throwing her to the floor and covering her mouth with his hand in a room priests used to get dressed before Mass

She told cops that during one attack she bit his hand.

Griego then allegedly slapped her in the face and continued to rape her.

In another alleged attack, the girl claims Griego slammed her face into the table, breaking her nose, according to the warrant.

She was later taken to Lovelace Hospital and told her mum she had hurt herself in a PE lesson.

Cops found X-rays from the hospital in November 1991 which show that she suffered trauma to her nose that year.

She suffered nightmares and began to self-harm before telling her family what had happened when she was 13.

The girl claims she did not raise the alarm sooner because Griego warned that if she ever told anyone what he was doing, he would cut her tongue out, kill her, and hurt her mother.

Griego has now been accused of sexually assaulting more than 30 children during his time working at the archdiocese.

He is implicated in eight closed cases filed in New Mexico between 1993, the same year he was put on leave from the church, and 1995, according to court records.

Griego was not formally dismissed from his clerical duties until 2005.

His name is among 78 priests the archdiocese said had been credibly accused of sexual abuse against children.
