Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are known for their booze-fuelled National Television Awards appearances and 2019 has not disappointed.
Just last year the boozy duo turned up for their post-NTA sesh stint on This Morning and were still rocking the same clothes from the night before to match their hangovers, so who knows what they have in store for Wednesday morning.
As she was getting ready for this year’s NTA’s on Tuesday evening, Holly posted a picture of three bottles of Laurent-Perrier on ice in her hotel room, accompanied by nine champagne flutes. Oi Oi.
Top LAD Phil was quick to respond to the picture, saying: “Bloody hell! There soon for my share”.
Not long after arriving at the annual NTAs, Schof was enjoying shots from a hip flask. Go on, LAD.
Ever the shot train conductor, Phil took to Snapchat to say: “My turn,” as he takes hold of a shot before adding: “I love a bit of salt around the rim.”
After necking the drink, he announces: “Oh hell, what a night. We’ve never done that before.” Hmm, we beg to differ.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, Phil and Holly were joking about their performance last year.
Phil asked: “Do you remember what this feels like? Opening presenting a show in one-piece.
She responded: “Yeah, fast-forward 24 hours and it might not be the same situation.”
The presenting duo had just won the NTA for Best Daytime Show and they were visibly merry as they accepted their award.
Holly said: “It’s 30 years and the fact that our show has been on for 30 years and still you vote and enjoy the show means everything to us because without you the show wouldn’t be possible.”
Fans took to social media with one saying: “The banter with holly and phil getting drunk and always winning is hilarious #ntas”.
Another added: “The only reason we want this morning to win an #NTA is so that we can see holly and Phil still pissed tomorrow morning on the tele!”
And a third said: “Yeah the #NTAs are great and everything but the real highlight will be watching Holly and Phil attempt to present tomorrow morning”.
Hope they’ve got the Berocca ready for tomorrow.
