Congratulations Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the birth of… oh no wait.
A new set of spoof photos show lookalikes of the parents-to-be standing on the steps on the Lindo Wing after ‘welcoming their newborn baby’.
‘Meghan’ is wearing a long green dress while Harry looks smart in a navy blazer and brown trousers.
Baby Sussex, played by a Baby Annabell doll with bright blue eyes, seems to be a girl as it is wearing an adorable pink outfit and matching hat.
Harry is seen waving to imaginary well-wishers and cameras on the hospital steps, in the same spot the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stood after the birth of George, Charlotte and Louis.
The hilarious set of photos also show the couple heading to Smyths Toys to pick up all the essentials for their new arrival.
They’re spotted looking at a dolls carry cot with a matching bag and a tiny pink dress.
But there’s an awkward moment at the checkout when Harry realises he’s forgotten his wallet.
Thankfully things seem to work out okay and the couple are later snapped leaving the store carrying lots of shopping bags.
Kasia Leskow, marketing manager for Zapf Creation UK, said: “It’s been great fun celebrating the new royal arrival in this way, we wish Prince Harry and Meghan all the best as they are in the final stages of preparing to welcome their baby.
“Baby Annabell is the perfect gift for the baby and for any new parents as the dolls follow a child’s development from the moment they are born through to their early school years, a perfect companion for each child as they grow.”
Meghan and Harry’s first child is expected to arrive in April, but the exact due date hasn’t been officially announced.
The couple are due to leave their Kensington Palace home and move to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor ahead of the birth.
They have been renovating the house and turning it into a real home for their new family, including a nursery in neutral colours painted with vegan paints.
