They will launch on the same day as the McDonald’s Monopoly giveaway returns
TWO classic McFlurrys will be back at McDonald’s in time for Easter – and fans are going to be thrilled.
The Creme Egg and Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel McFlurry flavours are returning for another year – but the price has shot up.
A 150g regular will now cost £1.39 – 10p more than limited edition flavours used to cost – according to savvy customers on hotukdeals.com.
There will also be a 75g mini version priced at 99p.
The two flavours are set to replace the Twix McFlurry from March 20 – the same day that the McDonald’s annual Monopoly giveaway launches.
The Creme Egg McFlurry was first introduced to menus way back in 2002.
It’s the 17th year in a row that it will return to stores for a limited time.
The dessert contains swirls of orange fondant and shards of milk chocolate to taste like the iconic seasonal treat.
Meanwhile, the Cadbury Caramel McFlurry contains caramel sauce and chocolate discs.
Calorie information hasn’t been published yet but most McFlurrys contain about 300kcal.
The Twix McFlurry contained 363 calories and 43g of sugar – the equivalent of nearly 11 teaspoons.
According to the NHS, the recommended daily calorie and sugar intake for an adult is 2,000 calories and 90g of sugar.
We’ve asked McDonald’s for more information and to confirm the return of the two flavours and we will update this article if we hear back.
The flavours are expected to be in restaurants until the end of April.
If you want a cheaper option, the Oreo, Crunchie and Dairy Milk flavours cost 59p for a mini and 89p for a regular – though prices vary between restaurants.
