Marks & Spencer is selling a Prosecco Easter egg dubbed the Proseggo

Marks and Spencer have upped their Easter egg game this year with the launch of their Prosecco-infused Proseggo

If your two favourite food groups are Prosecco and chocolate, Marks and Spencer has just announced the Easter egg of your dreams.

As the posh supermarket has just launched a hollow milk chocolate Easter egg that’s infused with Prosecco.

Dubbed the Proseggo egg, it’s been flavoured with both Prosecco and berry, as well as a dash of salt.

But it doesn’t just sound impressive, it also looks the part too, featuring a fancy hand-decorated swirling design and what looks like a glittery pink hue.

The egg was originally spotted by bargain hunters on Facebook page Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, who stated that it will set you back a very decent £5.

Katy Patino, M&S’ Easter Egg Developer has spent over a year perfecting the egg, alongside the rest of the brand’s irresistible collection, which boasts some of its most delicious and innovative products yet.

Talking about the new Proseggo Egg, Katy said: “I absolutely love the new and on trend Proseggo Egg. We’ve infused luxury milk chocolate with raspberry, blackcurrant and Prosecco for a delicate flavour with floral notes. And, at just £5 you can treat your loved ones to that touch of luxury without breaking the bank.”

But M&S aren’t the only ones getting on the Prosecco-infused egg game, with Ocado and John Lewis both also selling a luxury pink popping Prestat Easter egg for £18 and £17.50 respectively.

Even more fancy than M&S’ offering, Ocado describes it as “a milk chocolate egg with a pink fizzing pink chocolate lining filled with pink mini prosecco truffles containing a dark ganache centre.”
