Man held after elderly couple have their throats cut in their bedroom

AN elderly couple had their throats cut in a gruesome double murder.

A man was held after the male in his 60s and woman in her 70s were found in their bedroom.

A neighbour said the couple’s son and daughter were screaming outside after the grim discovery.

Sanaulhaq Khan-Tokhi, 49, went in to investigate before calling cops and said the woman was in bed and the man on the floor. He added: “There was blood everywhere.”

Police were called to the property in Whitton, South West London, at 9.40am on Friday.

A man, 31, was later arrested in Slough, Berks, on suspicion of murder.

Another neighbour said: “Both had their throats cut. We heard screams at around 2am but they stopped very suddenly.”

The victims were understood to be from Afghanistan.
