Kylie Minogue in tears on triumphant Glastonbury return

Kylie Minogue broke down in tears as she made a triumphant return to Glastonbury 14 years after being forced to pull out due to her breast cancer diagnosis.

The pop star, 51, played the festival fabled Pyramid stage today in an emotional comeback following her 2005 cancellation.

The singer had to axe her set after doctors diagnosed her with cancer, but she went on to make a full recovery and today she finally got the chance to make her comeback.

She was seen with tears streaming down her face, as she told the Glasto crowd how happy she was to make it to Worthy farm.

She said: “In 2005 I was meant to be here.

“Circumstances meant that I did not make it. I wished things were different – but life is what it is.

We’re all here in this moment.”

She marked her big moment by playing a hits-packed set that thrilled the crowd.

Kylie, who was given the prestigious Legends slot, belted out classics including I Should Be So Lucky and Especially For You.

She brought on several big name guest stars to perform with her during the set.

Coldplay star Chris Martin made his latest Glasto cameo by joining the Aussie stuner for a flamenco-tinged Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.

Nick Cave also headed onto the stage to sing with Kile on their gothic ballad Wild Rose.

There were also plenty of costume changes to keep the crowd entertained with Kylie going from a red jumpsuit to a gold sparkly dress, a floral frock and a chic all-white number.
