The TOWIE star was spotted arriving at girlfriend Gemma Collins’ home after having a screen test for Good Morning Britain
James ‘Arg’ Argent suffered an unfortunate fashion fail as he arrived back from his Good Morning Britain screen test.
The TOWIE star has set his sights on a presenting gig on the ITV show.
Having been into the studios to prove he’s the man for the job, Arg headed off to see girlfriend Gemma Collins.
The 31-year-old’s attempt at dressing to impress may not have come off as well as he’d hoped though.
The star wore light cream trousers with brown slip-on shoes, a white roll neck jumper and a navy blue blazer jacket.
Arg accessorised with some bling in the form of a fancy watch and a necklace and slicked his brunette hair back with plenty of product.
Arg carried some extra clothing, having perhaps taken along a couple of options for his big on-camera moment.
He appeared to be carrying a grey jacket and a brown one in plastic wrapping along with a duffle bag that was filled to the brim.
Arg glanced at photographers as he headed in to see The GC.
If he does land a presenting role on GMB, hopefully his work will go down better than that of some of his fellow reality stars.
Historically, reality personalities who have turned their hand to presenting have been met with dismay by viewers.
n February, Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews was slammed for his “wooden” presenting style as he made his debut as a showbiz correspondent on GMB.
Fellow Chelsea star and I’m A Celeb winner Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo also made a bad impression when she debuted her presenting skills.
Her “flirting” with MP Jacob Rees-Mogg didn’t go down very well with This Morning viewers
Love Island winners and now-exes Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies were also met with criticism when they made their presenting debut on GMB.
Kem later hit back at the comments of viewers, who said the pair were wooden and scripted.
He said as they returned to the show: “Both of us have been getting a bit of stick.
“People are saying we don’t know what we are doing.
We are trying our best
