Love Island will now air two series a year – with the first winter series to air in early 2020
It is what it is – but is it you?
It has been confirmed that Love Island will be returning for two series in 2020 following the end of the fifth series in July 2019.
The fifth run has seen major dramas including Curtis Pritchard dumping half-girlfriend Amy Hart, Michael Griffiths ditching Amber Gill after their Casa Amor separation, and Jordan Hames betraying new girlfriend Anna Vakili.
But as all these future Love Island legends will enter the outside world, we will wonder who will become the next famous faces in the villa.
Could it be you who will end up in South Africa for the Winter Love Island 2020?
The most simple way to apply for Winter Love Island 2020 is to fill out the application form via the programme’s website.
Applications will likely open following the finale of Love Island series five on July 29, 2019
However, the majority of contestants who have appeared on Love Island across the five series have mostly all had a somewhat significant social media presence prior to entering the villa.
The likes of this year’s Molly-Mae Hague have even been labelled as social influencers prior to their time as islanders.
Therefore a presence on social media – particularly visual apps and websites like Instagram – will carry you in good stead if you are hoping to make your way into the villa.
Winter Love Island will air on ITV 2 in early 2020.
