A GLASTONBURY security guard was found dead on the last night of the festival as the UK roasted in a 34C heatwave.
The body of the man, in his 60s, was discovered yesterday at around 5pm and is being treated as non-suspicious
He was one of 25 G4S officers sub-contracted to work at the festival over the long weekend.
It is understood the guard was working night shifts but is not yet clear how he died. He wasn’t working in the 24 hours before the tragedy.
A G4S spokesperson said: “At 5:00 pm on Sunday 30 June, one of our employees was found dead in his tent at Glastonbury Festival, where he had been working as a security officer.
“The next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this difficult time.”
