GEMMA Collins showed off a glamorous new look after being branded a ‘diva’ by Dancing On Ice co-host Holly Willoughby.
The GC flaunted her chic new haircut on Instagram this afternoon but turned off the comments after she has been viciously trolled, with social media users calling her an “attention seeking elephant” and “Miss Piggy On Ice”.
The post attracted a lot of attention, as it was liked by over 20,000 fans, but the comments section was muted to stop any trolls from tormenting her after she suffered a vile torrent of abuse.
The Towie star documented her makeover on her Instagram Story and in the string of clips James Argent’s girlfriend proudly showed off her new do.
Speaking in a video she said: “I’m with Nick today doing my extensions, with Rapture hair. Had my colour done by the lovely hair by Sarrah.”
The muting of comments to Gemma’s social media account comes just days after she came under fire from Holly.
Gemma – who is partnered with skating professional Matt Evers on the ITV show – was scolded for her behaviour on Sunday night, by Phillip Schofield and Holly, after she went missing near the end of the episode.
It turned out the star had gone home early because she was “bored” when the second batch of contestants took to the ice, after being late for the dress rehearsal earlier in the day.
Fellow presenter Kem Cetinay previously said: “So we did the group routine rehearsal before and she was having a nap. She wasn’t there.”
I went to her dressing room, she wasn’t there, so I did speak to her after and she said she was a bit bored but she does love skating.”
Holly was unimpressed by her antics, and said: “The thing is I really love Gemma, you know I’m a big fan of Gemma’s and I think she’s great on the show, I do, but I think there has to be a little bit of professionalism that comes into any work you do.
But the criticism has upset Gemma to the point she has threatened to quit.
A separate source previously told The Sun newspaper: “She’s devastated by everything that’s been said about her and is threatening to quit.”
