The TOWIE star has been labelled a ‘diva’ but Holly’s words are the last straw
Dancing On Ice has been plunged into a midweek crisis after reality TV diva Gemma Collins, has ‘threatened to walk out’ on the show after host Holly Willoughby blasted her antics.
The TOWIE star is said to be in ‘floods of tears’, after Holly called her ‘unprofessional’ for taking a nap backstage as the rest of the crew waited for her during rehearsals.
This behaviour was exasperated by the 37-year-old Essex star leaving the studio 25 minutes before the end of the live show, because she was allegedly ‘bored’ with watching.
Dancing On Ice host Holly Willoughby, 37, spoke out while presenting ITV’s This Morning and labelled ‘The GC’ as unprofessional.
Holly said: “I love Gemma. I’m a big fan of hers. I love her on the show.
“But I do think there has to be a bit of professionalism that comes into any work you do, just a bit of pride.”
This was backed up by her co-host on both shows, 56-year-old Phillip Schofield, who confirmed that the “whole studio” was held up by Gemma “having a nap” on during the afternoon.
Speaking to The Sun , a source said that Gemma was on the verge of quitting the show, after being devastated by Holly and Phillip’s words.
They said that Gemma is, “devastated by everything,” and she is “threatening to quit,” as she feels, “there’s a conspiracy to bring down their biggest star.”
Another source has labelled the reality star as a “nightmare” but is being given a free rein as, “producers know she’s the biggest draw.
If Gemma sticks with the process, then Dancing On Ice viewers will get to see her second dance with professional skater Matt Evers, when they return to the ice on Sunday.
