Gatwick Airport passenger rushed to hospital after ‘falling from height’ in busy terminal

A PLANE passenger has tonight been rushed to hospital after falling from a height at Gatwick Airport

Shocking images show emergency services inside a medical screen which had been set up in the terminal lounge at 6.30pm.

A witness in the South Terminal departures lounge reported that a “man fell from a height”.

The passenger was rushed hospital by the air ambulance service and their condition is not known.

A Gatwick spokesperson said: “Earlier this evening the emergency services and Gatwick staff were called to assist a passenger injured in a fall in the South Terminal Departure Lounge.

“The passenger has now been taken to hospital by the air ambulance service.”

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “I can confirm that we are dealing with an incident at Gatwick Airport.”
