THIS is the emotional moment a dad is reunited with his son after the ten-year-old was found crying in a bush following a huge police search.
Lewis Edwards was missing for 18 hours after vanishing from his home in Wilmslow, Cheshire at about 7.30pm on Monday.
Cops were called in and launched a massive search – with dad Scott Boughton being the one who eventually found the youngster crying in a bush.
Emotional images show the young boy being hugged by his relieved father as he was found at lunchtime today.
Police had earlier revealed their concerns for Lewis’ safety after the bike he disappeared on was found abandoned.
At the time of Lewis’ disappearance, Chief Inspector Jez Taylor said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned as Lewis has not been seen since yesterday evening.
“He has links to the Wythenshawe area, and he may be travelling in that direction.
“Searches are currently ongoing, and residents are asked to keep an eye out for Lewis and check their gardens and outbuildings in case he has been staying there overnight.”
But police later shared the good news that the young boy had been found.
They said: “We are pleased to report that the 10-year-old boy who was missing from the Wilmslow area has been found safe and well.
“A big thank you to everyone that shared our appeal and to all those who offered their help and support.”
It comes after the body of a 15-year-old was tragically found in water at a power station in West Yorkshire.
Elliot Burton had bee last seen in Wakefield on Thursday, with the teen found yesterday.
