David Metcalfe may too late to save his son from paedo teacher Maya Stepney

PAEDO teacher Maya Stepney has got her claws well and truly into poor Jacob Gallagher in Emmerdale.

Spoilers for next week have revealed that even though the 16-year-old schoolboy is back in the village and revising again for his exams – he has absolutely no intention of staying.

In fact, as soon as he gets a chance he heads over to his mum Leyla Harding’s house – where Maya was living – and goes searching for her passport.

When he finds it, he messages Maya and tells her that their plan to flee Emmerdale village (and the country) together is on.

But little does Jacob know that David has asked Ryan Stocks to install spyware on his laptop so David can keep track of any communication between his son and Maya.

So when Jacob and Maya arrange to meet at the cricket pavilion, David turns up instead. And so do the police.

Maya gets taken away but she and Jacob have already made a pact that if this were to happen, they would both say that Jacob had a crush on her and it went no further.

Jacob is so brainwashed by Maya that he agreed to say that their whole relationship was in his head so she doesn’t get in trouble

So it doesn’t look like we’ve seen the last of Maya yet. Will she be released and get another chance to take Jacob out of the country?

The good news is that there hasn’t been any announcement from either Emmerdale or Joe-Warren Plant who plays Jacob that his character is leaving.

Fans were left in bits after Wednesday night’s episode where a distraught

Jacob reached out to David after Maya abandoned him in a hotel room.

It came after she’d forced him to smash up his phone to prove he was serious about her.

After Jacob destroyed his phone, Maya was seen smiling slyly, knowing that she has got her claws into Jacob just that bit more.

But to make things even more devastating, she told him that he would never see his family again, and that it was just them now.

Emotionally blackmailing him she said that she”gave up everything” and that he in turn should do the same.

Clearly in pain, the 16-year-old looked scared and upset at this ultimatum, but told her he would “do anything” for her.

But how far Jacob is willing to go for Maya will be tested in coming episodes.

Emmerdale is on ITV, weekdays at 7pm
