Coronation Street star Chris Quinten has found himself out of pocket after his stripper fiancée reportedly dropped her £3,000 engagement ring in the ocean.
His 21-year-old girlfriend Robyn Delabarre lost the sparkler when she jumped in the sea to save Chris from drowning on holiday in Mamaris, Turkey.
According to the Sun the 62-year-old, who played Brian Tilsley on the ITV soap, struggled in the sea when his lilo popped and found himself treading water.
But as Chris isn’t the strongest swimmer things took a dramatic turn when Robyn was forced to swim out to his rescue and bring him back to dry land.
An insider told the publication: “Chris was relaxing in the sea on his lilo when it burst and he plunged into the water.
He was out quite far and is not the strongest swimmer – fortunately Robyn used to be a lifeguard so jumped in after him to come to his rescue.
“But as she thrashed about in the waves she ended up losing her new ring. They’re completely devastated.”
The couple – who have a 40-year age gap – were on holiday celebrate Chris’ 62nd birthday and their engagement which happened a month ago .
Chris met the stripper while she was working at The Secret Lounge, the club he manages in Hammersmith, west London.
The loved-up pair got engaged earlier this month when Chris got down on one knee at his partner’s 21st birthday party.
Secrets is a strip joint in London’s Hammersmith, where a brief table dance with a nude woman cost £30.
Chris had been a household name in the 1980s thanks to his stint on the ITV soap where he played Gail Platt’s husband.
Away from the cobbles he was previously married to talk show host Leeza Gibbons, 62, with who he shares daughter Jordan Alexandra, but the pair split just two years after they wed in 1989.
Robyn previously dated Love Island’s tragic star Mike Thalassitis , who took his own life in March.
