Chris Watts murdered daughter, 4, after ‘she walked in on him strangling wife’

Chris Watts murdered his daughter Bella after she saw him killing wife Shannan, an interview on The Dr Phil Show will say

Chris Watts murdered his daughter, 4, after she walked in on him strangling her mum to death, it will be claimed.

The horrifying detail is one of a set of revelations to be made by the lawyer representing Shannan Watts family in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Steven Lambert will make the claims In an interview set to air on The Dr Phil Show on Tuesday.

Amongst the others are that four-year-old Bella – who Watts killed along with Celeste, 3 – spent her final moments begging for her life.

The show will also hear how the night of the murders began with Shannan threatening to keep their children after learning about Watts’ affair.

According to the Mail Online , Mr Lambert claims his clients were told how Watts murdered his wife and two daughters.

He will reportedly tell the show: “The night in question Shanann came home.

She and Chris had got into a fight. They made up. They were getting along really well.

“Later on, they got into a fight again. In that fight he essentially confessed to having an affair, that he wanted a divorce.

“That it was pretty much over between them, and she had said something to the effect of, ‘well you’re not going to see the kids again’.”

“As a consequence of that conversation he strangled her to death.”

He adds: “Bella walked in and asked what are you doing to mummy.”

Details of what Watts told FBI, police and CBI officers in an interview in February have never been made public.

However, it is claimed that murdered Shannan’s parents have been briefed.

Audio of the newly-released information is expected to be released by the the Colorado Board of Investigation on March 7.

Watts is currently behind bars in Wisconsin, US, after being sentenced in November to five consecutive life sentences with no chance of parole over the August 2018 killing of 34-year-old Shannan and daughters Bella and Celeste

The 33-year-old was only spared the death penalty because he pleaded guilty to all the charges against him.

It comes after chilling footage emerged of Shanann just hours before she was murdered by her husband at their family home in Colorado.

CCTV captured by the doorbell camera of their house shows the woman, who was 15 weeks pregnant, entering her house after being dropped off from the airport by a friend.

The friend is seen waiting until the mum enters her home before driving off, unaware of the atrocity lying ahead.
