Brit tourist kidnapped and raped in Australia

A British backpacker has described how a vicious rapist held a gun to her head and forced her to drive through the Australian Outpack before being beaten and attacked.

Elisha Greer, 24, has spoken on Australian TV about the traumatic ordeal, which saw her kidnapped by evil Marcus Martin.

Elisha, from Liverpool, met Martin, 24, at a party in January 2017.

Initially she thought he was “fun”, but quickly learned he was “completely and utterly crazy” when he became “obsessive and clingy”.

After raping her in a hotel room in Cairns, he forced her to drive more than 930 miles, beating her and leaving her fearing for her life.

Elisha told Sunday Night: “I was forced to drive the car with the gun to my head.”

I did genuinely think about killing him with the knife. But then if I stabbed him and… or I missed and he woke up, and then he’d turn around and do something worse to me,” she added.

I didn’t wanna make a silly mistake, so I just took the risk of, ‘Let’s hope someone does… does help me.

“He broke my nose, split my eyebrow open, I had various amounts of bite marks all up and down my arms, I had bite marks on my face, he had stabbed me in the neck with the key, I had two black eyes, hand prints all over my body from bruises. So many bruises.

“My face was… It was purple. It was completely purple. And I was just trying to stare at people until they looked at me, to the point where they went like, ‘Bloody hell. Like, she might need help.'”

And in an interview set to be screened tonight, she said she thought he would kill her if she refused to do as she said.

Between March 1 and March 5 she was forced to drive south by her attacker.

It was only when a service station attendant named Beverley Page saw her looking “zombie like” that she raised the alarm and the cruel ordeal was finally brought to an end.

Elisha told news.com.au: “I just want people to know it’s okay…that being a victim isn’t the end of everything and that everyone can get through something.

“I want people to know that it’s not the end for them.”

Martin – who will be sentenced on May 28 – has admitted to three counts of rape and one of deprivation of liberty.”

He has also pleaded guilty to supplying dangerous drugs, willful damage, assault occasioning bodily harm and strangulation.
