Star of The Voice Janice Freeman has died at the age of 33, it has been reported.
The talented singer had appeared on season thirteen of the US reality show where she had wowed Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus with her performances.
According to TMZ , Freeman was at home with her husband Dion on Saturday when she experienced trouble breathing.
Dion called an ambulance and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
Freeman was then taken to hospital where she died later that evening of a suspected
Freeman memorably left Jennifer Hudson in awe with her performance of Imagine Dragons’ hit Radioactive at The Voice’s blind auditions in 2017.
Following news of the star’s death, Hudson took to Instagram to pay tribute by sharing a clip of the moment she turned her chair.
The singer and actress wrote alongside it: “Janice Freeman the voice of hers we got to hear and the bit of life we got to watch her live was a blessing and inspiration to us all! My heart and prayers go out to @janicefreeman daughter and family! @mileycyrus @nbcthevoice #ripjanicefreeman
While Janice’s mentor in the competition, Miley Cyrus also shared her condolences by posting a picture of a rainbow to social media.
“Thank you Janice Freeman… for everything. This represents you perfectly,” said Miley.
In the past Janice had overcome lupus, cervical cancer and meningitis.
During her time on The Voice, Janice made it all the way all the way to the top 11 as part of team Miley.
The pair stayed in touch after the competition and last year Janice revealed Miley had helped her and her family out financially when they were searching for a place to live.
Janice is survived by her husband a daughter.
