The 52-year-old actor was reportedly rushed from his home to a hospital in Los Angeles, where he’s said to remain
Beverly Hills, 90210 star Luke Perry has reportedly been rushed to hospital after suffering a ‘massive stroke’.
TMZ reports that paramedics were called to the actor’s home in Sherman Oaks at around 9.40am on Wednesday.
The site says a call came into the fire department of someone suffering a stroke, and that Luke was transported to a nearby hospital.
His condition is not known at the moment.
The 52-year-old currently stars as Archie’s dad, Fred Andrews, on Netflix show Riverdale.
Recently, he’d been busy shooting episodes on the Warner Bros lot in LA.
The medical crisis struck on the same day that Fox announces a reboot/reunion of 90210
Luke rose to fame on the teen drama in the role of Dylan McKay.
Most of his former co-stars will be appearing on the revived show, but as of yet, it’s said that Luke has not signed on to do the project.
Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green and Gabrielle Carteris have all been confirmed to return for a six part miniseries set to air this summer.
The series will show the cast catching up years after the end of the original show – which aired from 1990 to 2000 – and will show the actors planning a reboot series.
The above mentioned played, in order: Brandon Walsh, Kelly Taylor, Donna Martin, Steve Sanders, David Silver and Andrea Zuckerman with the original show following their ups and downs through high school.
However the special reboot will see the actors playing ‘exaggerated’ versions of themselves – as an official statement from Fox explains.
“Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ reboot up and running,” the release states.
“But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself,” it continues.
What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast – whom the whole world watched grow up together – attempts to continue from where they left off?” it adds.
However, some die hard BH 90201 fans are incensed that original cast members Shannen Doherty and Luke Perry are not involved.
